Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Set to Release in December
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was featured at the Ubisoft Forward presentation. Developed by Ubisoft Massive, this first-person action-adventure game is set to release on December 7. Players will have the opportunity to experience Pandora and assume the role of a Na'vi, similar to what has been portrayed in the two Avatar films.
The trailer showcased a mix of cinematic scenes and in-game gameplay captured from a PlayStation 5. It revealed the game's expansive world, filled with wild creatures and vast horizons. The gameplay will feature a combination of first-person and third-person perspectives, both on the ground and in the air. The story revolves around an original narrative within the Avatar universe, following a Na'vi character who has been in cryosleep for 15 years.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be set in a section of Pandora known as the Western Frontier, which has not been explored in the films released so far. It will introduce new characters and a reactive world. The game will be available exclusively on current-gen consoles and PC, utilizing the Snowdrop engine, similar to Ubisoft Massive's Star Wars project.
During the event, an extended gameplay trailer showcased the different biomes of Pandora, its diverse flora and fauna, and various methods of traversal in the vast world. Players will have access to multiple combat styles, including stealth, trap-based combat, and firearms.
