Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Release Details Unveiled
Larian Studios has officially announced that Baldur's Gate 3 will be launching on Xbox consoles later this year, but there's a key distinction for the Xbox Series S. In this version of the game, split-screen multiplayer won't be available, at least initially. This decision was reached during a meeting between Sven Vincke, the head of Larian Studios, and Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
Super happy to confirm that after meeting @XboxP3 yesterday, we’ve found a solution that allows us to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year still, something we’ve been working towards for quite some time.

For Xbox Series X, there won't be any issues with multiplayer gameplay. Additionally, it's important to note that the Series S edition of the game will support cross-saving between Steam and Xbox Series X, ensuring a smooth transition between platforms.
In a corresponding statement, Microsoft's Phil Spencer underscored that Xbox Series S buyers should be aware that it might not offer all the features and capabilities found in the Series X version of the same game. He mentioned that some advanced features, like ray tracing, might not be accessible on Series S in certain games due to differences in hardware.
