Set in an underground gaol, the player assumes the role of the Arisen, whose destiny is intertwined with the task of slaying the Dragon and claiming the throne. The Dragon, a symbol of destruction, commands the skies and strikes fear into the hearts of many, while others venerate it as a deity.

Accompanying the Arisen on their journey are the enigmatic pawns, otherworldly beings dedicated to serving their master. With customizable characteristics and controlled by AI, the pawns enhance the gameplay experience, providing a sense of camaraderie throughout the adventure.
