Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Unveiled at Xbox Showcase

During the Xbox Showcase on June 9, a new fantasy turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, was revealed. Players lead an expedition in a race against time to thwart a recurring cycle of destruction in a world rich with French-inspired fantasy elements. The gameplay trailer featured dynamic turn-based combat and a polished user-interface, showcasing a party of four characters, each with unique abilities.

The narrative introduces a menacing entity known as the Painter, who causes annual devastation by "repainting" the world and claiming innocent lives. Players join the latest of many expeditions attempting to halt this cycle, with previous efforts having fallen short.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is set to launch in 2025 for Xbox Series X|S and will be available on Xbox Game Pass upon release.
