Dragon Age: The Veilguard Unveiled at Xbox Games Showcase
After a long wait since its initial announcement in 2018, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, previously known as Dreadwolf, has finally been showcased in full during the Xbox Games Showcase.
Electronic Arts released a compelling new story trailer during the event, introducing players to an array of companion characters who will aid them in their journey. The trailer spotlighted seven distinct companions: Harding, the Scout; Neve, the Detective; Emmrich, the Necromancer; Taash, the Dragon Hunter; Davrin, the Warden; Bellara, the Veil Jumper; and Lucanis, the Mage Killer. Each character brings a unique set of abilities and backstory to enrich the player's experience. The highlight of the trailer was a dramatic entrance of a colossal dragon, setting the stage for epic battles.
An accompanying article from Xbox Wire provided additional insights into the game. Players will create their own protagonist to lead these companions, each of whom represents different factions within the Dragon Age universe and features individual skill trees and specialized gear.
Furthermore, it was announced that Dragon Age: The Veilguard is scheduled to launch in Fall 2024 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. Fans can also look forward to an official gameplay reveal on June 11, promising a closer look at what the next chapter in this beloved RPG series will offer.
