E3 2023 Introduces Digital Week and Industry/Gamer Days, Promising a Full Roster of Exhibitors Except for Nintendo
E3 is back this year, and a new Digital Week is kicking off the event. The event will begin on June 11 and include online showcases like the PC Gaming Show, Future Games Show, Guerilla Collective, and Black Voices in Gaming.
The Los Angeles Convention Center will have a hall dedicated to industry attendees, and days are sorted into industry and gamer days. Industry days will run from June 13 to June 15, while gamer attendees can enjoy the event from June 15 to June 16. Companies like "AAA" and indie developers have already committed to the event, and a full roster of exhibitors will be announced in the leadup to the expo.
Xbox, Nintendo, and PlayStation are not expected to participate in E3 2023. Nintendo has since confirmed that it will not be part of the event, while Xbox plans to hold a showcase around the same time as E3. Although details are scarce, Ubisoft has expressed its intention to "have a lot of things to show" at the event. It remains to be seen whether the company will hold an in-person press conference or a Ubisoft Forward video presentation, and what its presence will be on the show floor.
