Forspoken DLC "In Tanta We Trust" to Release as Prequel to Main Game

Forspoken fans can look forward to the release of the game's first story DLC, "In Tanta We Trust," which will serve as a prequel to the main game. Set 25 years before the events of Forspoken, the DLC will delve into one of the crucial battles featured in the game. The DLC's plot follows Frey, who is continuing her quest to end the Break in Athia. However, she suddenly finds herself transported to the Purge of the Rheddig, a legendary battle that had far-reaching consequences for all those involved.

In Forspoken's lore, the Purge of the Rheddig is known as the battle that ultimately corrupted Athia's protectors, the Tantas. However, there is more to the story than meets the eye, and the influence of the Rheddig plays a significant role in Frey's journey across Athia, particularly towards the end of the campaign. The DLC promises to feature Tanta Cinta as Frey's companion and introduce a new set of magical abilities that allow her to execute powerful attack combinations against the invading Rheddig forces. Square Enix has slated the DLC for release on May 26.
