Gameplay Video of Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft showcased Star Wars Outlaws during its Ubisoft Forward event, offering fans a detailed look at the upcoming title set to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on August 30. Early access begins on August 27 for those who preorder the Gold or Digital Ultimate Editions.

The gameplay demonstration followed protagonist Kay Vess as she navigated a mission from beginning to end. Starting on her ship, the Trailblazer, Kay sets out to find a gunslinging mentor. The demo highlighted seamless transitions from hangar to space and into hyperspace, demonstrating the game's expansive universe and fluid gameplay mechanics.

In her quest, Kay engages in space battles to earn credits, explores the desert planet of Mos Eisley on a speederbike, and utilizes stealth tactics reminiscent of Assassin's Creed to overcome enemies, showcasing a less lethal combat style. The mission culminates with Kay finding her target, leading to an intense shootout.

Star Wars Outlaws is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and features both new and familiar characters, including Jabba the Hutt. The game also promises a narrative DLC centered around Jabba, amid some fan controversy.
