Grand Theft Auto VI Set for Fall 2025 Release

Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released in Fall 2025. Previously, the game was expected to launch at an unspecified time in 2025, with earlier indications hinting at a release earlier in the year.

"Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games' previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI," said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick.

"We are highly confident that Rockstar Games will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience, and our expectations for the commercial impact of the title continue to increase."

Grand Theft Auto VI is currently in the final stages of development. To ensure the game is completed on schedule and to minimize leaks, Rockstar Games required most employees to return to the office starting April 15. This return-to-office mandate has been met with some resistance, as some staff feel it eliminates an essential work-life balance.
