Homeworld 3 Launch Date Postponed to May
Gearbox Publishing and Blackbird Interactive have shifted the launch date of Homeworld 3 to May 13, with an early access phase commencing on May 10.
In a recent development, Gearbox revealed that they assembled a select group of external players to conduct a thorough playtest of the entire game. The feedback obtained from this session is expected to contribute valuable insights and perspectives, aiding in enhancing Homeworld 3 to ensure an optimal gaming experience.
The journey towards the release of Homeworld 3 has seen its share of adjustments, beginning with a crowdfunding campaign that was discontinued following Gearbox's acquisition by the Embracer Group. The first glimpse of gameplay was unveiled at Gamescom 2022, and the game was originally targeted for a Q4 2022 release. However, it faced multiple postponements, first to the first half of 2023, then to February 2024, followed by March 2024, and now, it has been delayed once more to May.
