Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Set to Launch on January 2024

Sega has announced that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be launching on January 26, 2024, for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. Serving as a direct sequel to the seventh installment of the series, which had undergone a renaming, the game reintroduces Ichiban Kasuga, a former Yakuza member, on a quest to locate his long-lost mother in Hawaii. Joining him in this mission is Kazuma Kiryu, a familiar face from the "Like a Dragon" series, who reveals a grim diagnosis of cancer, adding urgency to their quest.

With limited time at hand, Kiryu is determined to assist Kasuga in finding his mother as a way to make amends for his past wrongs. However, the journey is fraught with danger, as local gangs are also in pursuit of Kasuga's mother. Similar to its predecessor, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth features an RPG battle system inspired by Kasuga's love for Dragon Quest, which the developer, Ryu Ga Gotoku, has fine-tuned to offer a more strategic experience in this sequel.

The game introduces several new job classes, including Samurai, Desperado, Geodancer, Pyrodancer, Housekeeper, Action Star, and Sujimancer. Additionally, players can once again call upon their Poundmates for powerful assistance in dire situations, leading to some eccentric and memorable encounters, such as giant man-babies and homicidal lobsters wreaking havoc on local gangsters.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth offers a variety of mini-games such as Crazy Delivery, Sujimon and everyone's favorite karaoke.
