Mafia: The Old Country Announced at Gamescom 2024

The Mafia series returns with a new installment titled Mafia: The Old Country, announced during the closing moments of Gamescom Opening Night Live 2024. The game is slated for release in 2025 on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.

The teaser trailer showcased the rich atmosphere of 1900s Sicily, complete with wine, guns, and ominous discussions about loyalty to the family. The game promises a gritty mob story set in the brutal underworld of early 20th-century Sicily, with the authentic realism and deep storytelling the series is known for.

Hangar 13 President Nick Baynes highlighted that Mafia: The Old Country will take the franchise back to its roots, delivering a focused, linear narrative reminiscent of classic mob movies, set in a stunning new location.

More details are expected this December, and in the meantime, all previous Mafia games are on sale on Steam until September 2.
