Phantom Blade Zero Unveiled at PlayStation Showcase
During PlayStation Showcase, Sony has unveiled action game Phantom Blade Zero. The game introduces a unique art direction called "Kungfupunk," blending elements of Chinese Kungfu, steampunk-inspired machinery, occult arts, and more.
In the game, players assume the role of Soul, an elite assassin serving the enigmatic organization known as "The Order." Framed for the murder of The Order's leader, Soul must uncover the mastermind behind the plot before a makeshift cure for his injuries expires in 66 days. Faced with formidable adversaries and supernatural creatures, he embarks on a thrilling journey.
Phantom Blade Zero offers a semi-open world experience, where players will encounter powerful enemies, but the rewards obtained from defeating them will aid in character customization and progression, including weapons, armor, artifacts, and skills. Emphasizing authentic Kungfu moves, the game draws inspiration from classic 1990s Kungfu movies. The developers have simplified controls to allow players to execute elaborate move chains with ease, providing a fast-paced and exhilarating combat experience.
No release date or window has been announced for Phantom Blade Zero yet.
