Kokku, the studio behind Prison Architect 2, has announced an indefinite delay for the game. All preorders will be refunded.

In a blog post, the game's community manager explained that the team needed "more time to improve both the game's performance and its content." Continuous internal reviews and beta tests revealed areas requiring more focus, leading to the decision to delay the release to meet quality standards.

The studio is unsure of a new release date due to the significant work needed. They aim to create "a more robust release timeline" and will limit public communication to concentrate on improvements.
