Red Dead Redemption Expands its Horizons: Coming Soon to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4

Rockstar Games has announced the release of the 2010 western game Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare expansion on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 platforms, as well as the ability to play on the PS5 through backward compatibility. The digital versions of the game will be available on August 17th, with physical copies coming on October 13th.

Red Dead Redemption on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 is not a comprehensive remaster or remake. While these versions will not include online support, they will feature language support and Trophy achievements on the PlayStation platform.

It's worth noting that Red Dead Redemption was available on the PS4 through the PlayStation Now streaming service. However, this access was discontinued in October 2022. As for the Nintendo Switch, the game had not been available on the platform until this point.
