During the latest Xbox Partner Showcase, Sega and RGG Studio unveiled a new trailer for Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, the upcoming spinoff in the Yakuza franchise featuring long-time fan favorite Goro Majima. The game returns to the series' classic action-brawler combat while introducing naval combat, reminiscent of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Players will engage in ship battles on the high seas and action-packed boarding combat.

The game also introduces a hub area called Madlantis, offering minigames and tournament battles. Majima will have two fighting styles: the fast, agile Mad Dog style and the new Sea Dog style, which incorporates dual-wielding cutlasses and pistols. Lead producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto emphasized the importance of mixing these styles for varied, fast-paced combat.

Originally set for late February, the game's release has been moved up to February 21, 2025 and will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
