Bloober Team's remake of the iconic Silent Hill 2, a subject of much speculation and anticipation, made a reappearance during the recent State of Play presentation. While the showcased trailer Silent Hill 2 Remake brought new gameplay to light, a definitive release date remains unconfirmed. Earlier, Sony hinted at a possible 2024 release for the game, alongside titles like Rise of the Ronin and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, for PS5.

Announced in 2022, the remake aims to retain the original story while updating gameplay elements. Bloober Team emphasized their commitment to preserving the game's unique atmosphere in modernized form, as stated by Chief Marketing Officer Anna Jasińska in a 2023 interview.
