Slitterhead Release Date Announced at Summer Game Fest 2024

At Summer Game Fest 2024, the anticipated game Slitterhead, known for its mysterious buildup since its initial reveal in December 2021, finally has a release date: November 8, 2024. The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

Slitterhead is the first project from Bokeh Game Studio, led by Keiichiro Toyama, famed for his work on Silent Hill and Gravity Rush. Toyama describes the game as a horror title inspired by "death games" popular in Japanese manga, set in brutally envisioned worlds.

The gameplay shown at the festival features unique elements like body possession and over-the-shoulder boss fights, reminiscent of PS1-era action. Toyama aims to blend intense emotional drama with action, promising a game that's not only unique but also vividly portrays horror in real-world settings combined with a distinctive sense of humor.
