Square Enix Announces PC Version of Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis
Square Enix is developing a PC version of Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, which was originally designed for iOS and Android. The game will become available on Steam at an unspecified date, allowing players to transfer their mobile game data to the Steam edition. Ever Crisis spans the entire Final Fantasy 7 timeline and offers a unique perspective on the story.
This RPG experience, presented in chapters, unveils the untold tale of a young Sephiroth. It encompasses crucial events from the original Final Fantasy 7, as well as fresh narrative elements created by Kazushige Nojima, the writer behind Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Throughout the game, players will encounter new characters and have the opportunity to assume the roles of iconic heroes like Cloud and Zack from Final Fantasy 7 and Crisis Core - Final Fantasy 7.
In Ever Crisis, players can form teams of various characters and equip them with iconic gear and weapons to overcome adversaries. This cooperative gameplay mode allows for solo or up to three-player co-op battles. The game boasts a blend of retro-style aesthetics and modern rendered graphics, along with a fast-paced command-based battle system inspired by FF7's Active Time Battle, optimized for smooth mobile play. Additionally, it incorporates classic Final Fantasy RPG elements such as Abilities, Materia, Summons, and Limit Breaks, while offering mobile-friendly features like Auto Mode and Battle Speed.
