Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Delayed to November
GSC Game World, the developer behind Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has announced a delay in the game's release. Initially set for a September 5 launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S, the new release date is now November 20.
Game director Yevhen Grygorovych addressed fans, expressing gratitude for their patience. He explained that the additional two months will allow the team to address more "unexpected anomalies," or bugs, ensuring a smoother experience at launch. Grygorovych emphasized the importance of the community's support and shared the team's eagerness to finally release the game.
Stalker 2 has faced multiple delays, partly due to the challenges posed by Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The Ukrainian studio had to relocate to Prague, Czech Republic, and tragically, team member Volodymyr Yezhov lost his life while defending Ukraine. Additionally, the studio's Prague office suffered damage from a fire in late 2023, though no injuries were reported.
