The Next Witcher Game, Codenamed Polaris, Nears Full Production
CD Projekt's next mainline Witcher game, codenamed Polaris, is set to enter full production soon, according to Joint CEO Michał Nowakowski. Despite the Polaris team growing modestly from 407 to 410 members between April and July 2024, it now constitutes the majority of CD Projekt’s development staff, signaling readiness for this next phase.
Announced in October 2022, Polaris won't be released before 2025. While details remain scarce, it has been confirmed that Geralt will appear, though not as the main character. Speculation suggests Ciri might take the lead, especially given a teaser image featuring a lynx medallion, hinting at a new Witcher school.
Beyond Polaris, CD Projekt is also working on a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and other Witcher-related projects, including a multiplayer game and a remake of the original Witcher.
