Tron: Catalyst Announced as Sequel to Tron: Identity

Big Fan Games, a subsidiary of Devolver Digital, has teamed up with Disney Games and Bithell Games to announce Tron: Catalyst, the highly anticipated sequel to Tron: Identity. Scheduled for release in 2025, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Tron: Catalyst is described as a "thrilling, story-driven isometric action game" set in the digital world of Tron. Players will once again explore the Arq Grid, a key location from Tron: Identity, but this time as Exo, a program with the unique ability to initiate time loops. Exo will face off against the overlords of the crumbling Grid while evading Conn, an agent of the mysterious CORE.

In addition to story-based exploration, Tron: Catalyst will feature on-foot and Light Cycle combat, with missions that lead Exo through battles and the uncovering of Grid secrets.
