Ubisoft Sets 2026 Release for Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake

During the recent Ubisoft Forward 2024 event, Ubisoft confirmed a 2026 release window for the long-awaited Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake. The announcement, accompanied by a brief teaser video, marks a significant update following a series of delays and developmental challenges.

The remake has been under development for over four years, encountering several setbacks including a shift in development teams. Initially handled by Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai, the project was transferred to Ubisoft Montreal, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, in May 2022.

As of May 2023, the project had moved into the "conception" phase and recently, Ubisoft announced the transition into the "full production phase." Ubisoft Montreal will collaborate with co-developers in Toronto, Bucharest, Paris, and Pune to bring the remake to fruition.
