Visions of Mana on Xbox Developer Direct

During the Xbox Developer Direct, Square Enix unveiled Visions of Mana, an action RPG set for a summer 2024 release, marking the Mana series Xbox debut after more than 30 years. The presentation included new footage highlighting the game's creatures, exploration, and combat. Koichi Ishii, the series creator, showcased returning favorites like the Rabite and introduced a new creature, the Pikul, a hybrid of a Yorkshire Terrier, pangolin, and elements of Anubis, which players can ride and use in combat.

The game's combat system features aerial melee and mid-air attacks, supplemented by Elements from the series, activated through specific items. Additionally, the game's soundtrack promises a dynamic experience with over 100 songs by various series contributors, shifting seamlessly between exploration and combat.

Set to launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC in summer 2024, Visions of Mana was first announced at The Game Awards last year. The story follows Val, a hero on a mission to protect his childhood friend on her quest to rejuvenate mana.
